JAIME P. GOMEZ

Actor, Writer, Director, Producer

Jaime Gomez has enjoyed a distinguished career in the entertainment industry spanning over three decades. His impressive body of work includes standout performances in acclaimed feature films such as Clear and Present Danger, Crimson Tide, Training Day, and La Carpa (produced by American Playhouse), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He is best known to television audiences for his role as Inspector Evan Cortez on the CBS hit series Nash Bridges, which earned him three Bravo Award nominations across five successful seasons.

On the independent film circuit, Gomez garnered attention for his work in 16 to Life, which won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Method Fest International Film Festival. He also starred in the breakout indie hit Gabriela, a true grassroots production made for under $100,000 that went on to gross over $2 million.

His television appearances remain prolific, with notable roles in SWAT, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Rookie, Rizzoli & Isles, 24, Cold Case, CSI: Miami, and CSI. More recently, he has guest-starred in 9-1-1: Lone Star and Law & Order.

A versatile storyteller both in front of and behind the camera, Gomez has expanded into directing, writing, and producing. His directorial credits include the indie feature In the Blink of an Eye, the music documentary It’s All in the Song, and short films Live with It and It’s Me. He is currently in post-production on his latest documentary, Barrio Dogs.

Gomez’s upcoming slate showcases his creative range. Projects include the gritty action film Lujack and the Angel, the desert-noir thriller Calexico Dreams, and the powerful historical drama Gus, chronicling the life of Civil Rights hero Gus Garcia. He is also developing several television series, including The Mission SF and The Code, both set in San Francisco, along with feature films Billy’s Dance and Bittersweet.

Matt O’Toole

Actor, Producer

Matt O’Toole is an accomplished American actor and producer whose career began on stage in New York City. Recognized for his versatility across both film and television, he gained wide- spread acclaim for his portrayal of Paul Millander, the first recurring serial killer on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

His film credits include notable roles in Wyatt Earp (1994), Last Man Standing (1996), Zero Ef- fect (1998), Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011), and Safe (2012).

In addition to his on-screen work, O’Toole has built a strong reputation as a producer. He co-pro- duced the feature film Lost Junction (2003), starring Neve Campbell and Billy Burke, and pro- duced the short film You Look Amazing (2006), featuring Tracey Needham, which premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Most recently, he served as a producer on the award-winning series Thumb Runner (2020), starring Dianne Farr and Dylan Bruno. The series received honors at several international festivals, including the Golden State Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards, and New York Film Awards.

A long-time associate of Lawrence Bender at A Band Apart, O’Toole now brings his script anal- ysis expertise to Sandbar Films, where he plays an integral role in developing original content for both streaming platforms and the feature film market.
